So I decided it would be a good idea to share with you my morning makeup routine. So this is how I get ready for school in the morning. Please note that I get up like two hours before my classes because I take forever to get ready! However I can be fast when I need to be. Hello dolls,

So as of recent, the weather's been dreadful; icy wind today and heavy showers the next I really can't keep up anymore. My mood has a lot to do with the weather so I will need spring to show up a little sooner.

Asides British weather's bipolar tendencies, I've been pretty good. I know I'm rather late but Halloween was 'OH SO MUCH FUN' besides when the front door to my house got egged (when they SMASH eggs on your door) by a couple of miniature scoundrels. I also had the privilege of watching the latest movie in the bond sequel and it was BONDTASTIC! Daniel Craig did an excellent job with the role and had me gripping the edge of my seat for most of the movie; and can I just add that he is one yummy looking man - he had my inner goddess pirouetting through the intense scenes.

Now on to the more important things before I lose myself to the thought of Daniel Craig and I in a steaming shower 'AMEN'. I've been busy a lot lately keeping up with work and school which I'm sure most of you understand is very time consuming, so I really am sorry for not updating this blog as much as I'd like. I've been posed with creating a magazine and as any of you can imagine trying to achieve this task in a group of four is nerve wracking especially when you're the perfectionist who must have input in every single aspect. I won't tell you it's gruesome because I feel like Alexandra Shulman sitting at the head of a white oak wood table filled with page plans and mood boards, and shuffling all these ideas to fill up hundreds of pages which, to you is known as Vogue. So when I'm not sitting in front of my camera talking to all you wonderful and beautiful people...I'm busy impersonating Alexandra Shulman. Cool huh? 

Well... now that I've updated you guys on what's new - even though I'm very boring - I can let you all get a long with your day. Whatever it is you're doing. DO. IT. WELL.

So...

I'm guessing by now you've had it to the brim with me always going on a hiatus; I've been extremely busy, working and enjoying life before we go back to school (Sobs). So, once again I AM BACK with a bunch of beauty and fashion videos so don't go anywhere. 

I decided to start off with a back to school video seeing as everyone loves them. We've spent days on end tanning in the sun, swimming at the beach, going to the gym, clenching our tummies and screaming as we reach the drop on the swarm - takes a deep breath - So what better than a makeup tutorial for your first day back at school? After all I'm pretty sure our dedication to getting the perfect body over summer wasn't for nothing (Wink)... Right, where were we before I drifted off into the glory days just passed? Oh yeah! School. 

The look I created was inspired by Lana Del Rey. Her eye make-up is always sultry and dark. She uses a thick cat wing and a darker shadow in the outer 'V' area of her eyelid to achieve that smokey look. 

To make the look more youthful and appropriate for school I've toned down every aspect of this look and used pink tones to add a youthful glow to the face. I think this look is great for school especially if you're the kind who get's no sleep at all - slowly raises hand - it'll make you look awake, I promise.

Nude lips, smouldering eyes, coral cheeks, plum lips, spider lashes, golden shadows...these are the looks we love to see on the runway. As the green leaves turn burnt orange and rusty brown, the trend sets in. I have always loved these kind of colours as I'm a lover of warms and nudes. During this time of the year there's rarely much colour incorporated into a look. However, there will be key features that tend to stand out. For instance, I love to wear a plum lip when I've spidered up my lashes; or coral cheeks and nude lips. Combining colours that create immense contrast when paired together is always a good thing towards the latter part of the year. 

To achieve this look you need to be a minimalist. The cake faced look is a no no. I'd suggest a compact powder or oil créme foundation for that soft matte look. 

You want to avoid shine as it makes you look sweaty. Stay away from false lashes...Natural lashes are beautiful whether long or short and look nice when paired with a bold lip. 

When creating a smokey eye you want to stick to warm earthy colours like brown, beige, olive, coral, dark brown etc. Using these colours will add a warm glow to your eyes and give you that natural look. 

With lips I'd definitely suggest sticking to nudes, plums and dark reds. These colours are perfect for that autumn look. If you want to add  a bit of colour to your face plums and reds are the way to go. They bring out the shape of your lips and give you that striking 30's look.

So I've kind of gotten into the whole blogging thing again hence the post after post thing you see going on. Lately I've been shopping a lot. I have no idea what it is, but I feel the need to buy something whenever I'm in a make-up store. A couple days ago I was in need of a new mascara because I left mine at my sister's place; I walked into superdrug the following day and ended up getting a couple more items which I'm glad I bought. I found this awesome face primer with shimmer in it. It gives the most amazing glow and leaves your make-up looking fresh and dewy. Also a couple eye shadows by MUA. If you haven't heard about MUA I'll tell you now they're a make-up brand who give you good quality products at incredibly affordable prices. I got each eye-shadow for a pound so it cost me £3 for all of them - isn't that amazing? The eye-shadows are extremely pigmented and long-lasting. So, if you're in need of some mac dupes check out MUA.

The illuminated look has always been the classiest. Many trends have come and gone but this one remains. 

I have always had a flare for exquisite lace and ethereal nudes. The combination of the two make a striking outfit and never fail to please. I was at River Island earlier today and I must say, my inner goddess was rather bemused by the heavenly abode. Chiffon here, nude platforms there and in-between the whites and creams, glittery peaches and coffee dresses. And of course, me being me I just could not resist. 

The diamante detailing around the neckline was stunning. In my mind I pictured it with a pair of white jeans and nude heels. Picturesque! The moment I saw it on the rail I knew I was getting it. After all we all know how much I love my nudes. 

The lace crop top I wasn't so sure about at first, but then I tried it on and it looked lovely. I have tons of shorts I could pair it with, not to mention flats too. It's definitely Ideal for the summer. You could pair it up with a maxi and some litas and you're good to go. 

While I was about town running errands for mum I stopped by primark and got some sandals. They were chique and inexpensive - isn't that  a bargain? 

I have this feeling I'll find myself in River Island again lost in a world of nudes and chiffon. 

Hello dolls, 

I know it's been a really long time and I keep promising to update you all but I've been so busy, and lazy at the same time. I feel really bad for not keeping to my word. So this is the last time i will do this. I promise to update every week! Now that's out of the way, I've got a lot of stuff to share with you all. While I've been away I've purchased lots of products and so much has happened in such little time. 

So I think I might start with updating you all. At the moment I'm currently working at west one which is a female fashion retail store, so most of the time I'm there. Since I started working I've been tired my day goes like this : wake up. shower. work. home. eat. shower. bed. And then I'm at it again. Although I honestly do love it. The girls I work with are wonderful and make me feel like I've known them forever. 

I've done a lot of buying recently. Well, in my opinion I have l-o-l. I think it's cause my birthday was coming up which is now tomorrow - WHOOP - Finally eighteen. I went to oxford street last week to hunt for a birthday dress which was a complete fail. However, I did end up getting some other things. Now if you watch my videos and follow my blog you'll know I've always loved the natural makeup look. I feel it's a lot more realistic and definitely supports the notion that make up enhances natural beauty. While on oxford street I treated myself to a new foundation. 

Being the traditional freak I am I try to keep everything minimal. So when it comes to foundation I hate full coverage! I know it's nice to not have your blemishes seeping through your make up but I just can't stand the caked up look. I love the nice sheer glow you get from light coverage foundations. So I had made up my mind that I want the MAC face and body foundation. It's liquid based and gives a natural dewy look - which I love for summer. 

However, when I was attended to by a makeup artist she strongly suggested the mac studio sculpt foundation. I tried it out and it didn't look bad at the time, so I opted for it. I gave it a couple of days so that my feelings could sink in and came to a conclusion. I hate the foundation! I do not like it at all and would not recommend it if you like minimal or natural looking make up. So now I have a foundation I will rarely use. 'well done Shannelle'. 

Besides that terrible purchase everything else has been up my street. One of my favourites at the moment is Snob. The lipstick is gorgeous and much different to what I'm used to.
